CANSIM is Statistics Canada's key socioeconomic database. Updated daily, CANSIM provides fast and easy access to a large range of the latest statistics available in Canada. Provides access to the Canadian Censuses, the Agricultural Censuses, Aboriginal Peoples Survey, environmental data, Elections Canada data, and the time series in CANSIM (Canadian Socio-economic Information Management System).

From Google: Dataset Search enables users to find datasets stored across thousands of repositories on the Web, making these datasets universally accessible and useful. Dataset Search is still in beta. If you notice an issue with the product or have a recommendation on how we could improve the product, please submit feedback to Google.

Industry Canada (previous name). Provides access to Canadian business and industry statistics, company information, regulations and standards, as well as international trade statistics.

Indigenous Studies Sources of Statistics and Data

The Aboriginal Children's Survey (which was completed just once before being discontinued) was designed to provide a picture of the early development of Aboriginal children and the social and living conditions in which they are learning and growing. The survey provides an extensive set of data about Aboriginal (Métis, Inuit, and off-reserve First Nations) children under six years of age in urban, rural, and northern locations across Canada.

The Aboriginal Peoples Survey is a national survey of Aboriginal peoples (First Nations peoples living off-reserve, Métis and Inuit) living in urban, rural and northern locations throughout Canada. The survey provides valuable data on the social and economic conditions of Aboriginal children and youth (6-14 years) and Aboriginal people (15 years and over).
