Building the Entrepreneurial Mindset, Grade 9, Open (BEM1O1) - Formally known as BTT101
In this course, students will learn what makes an entrepreneur thrive and the skills required to succeed in today’s business environment. Students will begin to develop their own entrepreneurial mindset, and learn why it’s important to take initiative, adapt to change, find creative solutions, and understand the financial considerations of entrepreneurship. This hands-on course will use business software and applications to help students plan and develop their entrepreneurial ideas and learn how to present them to a target audience. Throughout the course, students will enhance their communications skills as well as develop and refine their project management skills, including goal setting, time management, and networking.
Launching and Leading a Business, Grade 10, Open (BEP20) - Formally known as BBI201
This course introduces students to the world of business and what is required to be successful, ethical, and responsible in today’s economy. Students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to be an entrepreneur who knows how to respond to local and global market opportunities. Throughout the course, students will explore and understand the responsibility of managing different functions of a business. This includes accounting, marketing, information and communication technology, financial management, human resources, and production.
Digital Technology and Innovations in the Changing World, Grade 10, Open (ICD2O1)
This course helps students develop cutting-edge digital technology and computer programming skills that will support them in contributing to and leading the global economic, scientific and societal innovations of tomorrow. Students will learn and apply coding concepts and skills to build hands-on projects and investigate artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other emerging digital technologies that connect to a wide range of fields and careers. Using critical thinking skills with a focus on digital citizenship, students will investigate the appropriate use and development of the digital technologies that they encounter every day, as well as the benefits and limitations of these technologies.
Financial Accounting Fundamentals, Grade 11, University/College Preparation (BAF3M1)
This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and procedures of accounting. Students will develop financial analysis and decision-making skills that will assist them in future studies and/or career opportunities in business. Students will acquire an understanding of accounting for a service and a merchandising business, computerized accounting, financial analysis, and current issues and ethics in accounting.
Entrepreneurship: The Venture, Grade 11, College Preparation (BDI3C1)
This course focuses on ways in which entrepreneurs recognize opportunities, generate ideas, and organize resources to plan successful ventures that enable them to achieve their goals. Students will create a venture plan for a student-run school-based or summer business. Through hands-on experiences, students will have opportunities to develop the values, traits, and skills most often associated with successful entrepreneurs.
Marketing: Goods, Services, Events, Grade 11, College Preparation (BMI3C1)
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of product marketing, which includes the marketing of goods, services, and events. Students will examine how trends, issues, global economic changes, and information technology influence consumer buying habits. Students will engage in marketing research, develop marketing strategies, and produce a marketing plan for a product of their choice.
Introduction to Computer Science, Grade 11, Open (ICS3U1)
This course introduces students to computer science. Students will design software independently and as part of a team, using industry-standard programming tools and applying the software development life-cycle model. They will also write and use subprograms within computer programs. Students will develop creative solutions for various types of problems as their understanding of the computing environment grows. They will also explore environmental and ergonomic issues, emerging research in computer science, and global career trends in computer-related fields.
Introduction to Retail and Service Marketing, Grade 11, Workplace Preparation (BMX3E1)
This course focuses on developing knowledge and applying skills in the context of retail and services marketing. Students learn about the importance of customer service, analyze the methods used to maintain customer loyalty, examine ways in which product presentation influences buyers, and investigate the critical factors in inventory control, including the role of technology.
Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Grade 12, University Preparation (IDC4U1)
The Sports and Entertainment Marketing interdisciplinary course emphasizes the development of practical skills and knowledge to solve problems, make decisions, create personal meaning, and present findings related to the growing Sports and Entertainment Marketing industry. Through individual and collaborative inquiry students will use a range of print, electronic, and mass media resources to research into contemporary issues, real-life situations, and careers related to Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Students will acquire knowledge in the areas of ethics, consumer behaviour, consumer research, product development, pricing strategies, advertising, public relations/publicity, event marketing, endorsement, promotional licensing, sponsorship, product distribution, stadium design, legal issues and career opportunities in Sports and Entertainment Marketing.

This course introduces students to advanced accounting principles that will prepare them for postsecondary studies in business. Students will learn about financial statements for various forms of business ownership and how those statements are interpreted in making business decisions. This course further develops accounting methods for assets and introduces accounting for partnerships, corporations, and sources of financing.

This course provides an overview of the importance of international business and trade in the global economy and explores the factors that influence success in international markets. Students will learn about the techniques and strategies associated with marketing, distribution, and managing international business effectively. This course prepares students for postsecondary programs in business, including international business, marketing, and management.
Business Leadership: Management Fundamentals, Grade 12, University/College Preparation (BOH4M1)
This course focuses on the development of leadership skills used in managing a successful business. Students will analyze the role of a leader in business with a focus on decision making, management of group dynamics, workplace stress and conflict, motivation of employees, and planning. Effective business communication skills, ethics, and social responsibility will be emphasized throughout the course.
Computer Science, Grade 12, University Preparation (ICS4U1)
This course enables students to further develop knowledge and skills in computer science. Students will use modular design principles to create complex and fully documented programs, according to industry standards. Student teams will manage a large software development project, from planning through to project review. Students will also analyse algorithms for effectiveness. They will investigate ethical issues in computing and further explore environmental issues, emerging technologies, areas of research in computer science, and careers in the field.

Entrepreneurship: Venture Planning in an Electronic Age, Grade 12, College Preparation (BDV4C1)
This course provides students with the opportunity to develop and apply entrepreneurial skills through the creation of a venture plan that capitalizes on the potential of e-commerce. Students will research and identify an opportunity for a venture. They will then complete the components of a venture plan that includes a website. Students who pursue an entrepreneurial option have greater control over their own job, career, and calling. They also have the opportunity to integrate Catholic Social Teaching into their future ventures.
Business Leadership: Becoming a Manger, Grade 12, Workplace Preparation (BOG4E1)
This course helps students prepare for managerial positions in their future careers. Students will focus on the development of core skills required to become a successful manager, including operations management, inventory control, marketing, financial planning, scheduling, and communication. Students will also explore the management challenges of hiring, training, and motivating employees, and complying with legal requirements.
