The Business and Computer teachers at SMK strive to create a learning environment that provides students with the latest trends in business and technology. Our goal is to assist students in becoming life long learners. The SMK business and programming curriculum teaches risk and strategic management, people-oriented philosophies and environmental decision-making. The curriculum has a real world practicality and centers on current events and trends to which the students can relate and are interested in.
Students need to learn how to be critical thinkers and make decisions that are socially responsible. At SMK, we strive to create ties with the community and industry, which provides the support needed to create an effective business curriculum. This enables students to get the most out their classes, and affords them the opportunity to translate critical thinking and business skills into other aspects of their lives. Students who complete four business studies courses will graduate with a business certificate.
