Role of the Guidance Counsellor

The Guidance Counsellor's role is to discuss and to guide, but not to make decisions for students.  Students are encouraged to make use of various planning tools in order to make informed decisions about their pathways.  Counsellors also provide referrals and liaison with community social service agencies when necessary.

Staying Informed

The Guidance Department shares information with the students of  Our Lady Queen of the World Catholic Academy through one or more of the following ways: 

•  Email, PA announcements , OLQW App, Twitter (@OLQWGuidance)

• Google Classroom

• In-school presentations

• Bulletin boards inside the Guidance Office

• Resource materials located in the Guidance Office
