How to Book Your Guidance Appointment:

~Appointments are for students only~

1. Students must use their @ycdsbk12.ca email accounts to book their appointment; use of other emails will result in the appointment being cancelled.

2. Use the link below to access the booking calendar, then select a date/time slot. A "Book an Appointment" box will come up, please enter the requested information, including a reason for the appointment (ex. post secondary planning, course question, personal matter, night school, summer school, etc...)

Please do not schedule an appointment at the same time you have a test/quiz/presentation. Also, SAME DAY appointments will not be honoured, with the exception of any extenuating circumstance.

         3. To leave class, show your teacher your scheduled appointment date/time on your Google Calendar or @ycdsbk12.ca email

To request a course change, we ask that students pick up a course change form from the school. These will be available from September 3rd to September 11th for Semester 1. 

Return the signed, completed form by September 11th for consideration.

As a reminder, CHANGES WILL ONLY BE PROCESSED IF THE REQUEST MEETS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA AND ONLY IF SPACE PERMITS:

1. Replacement of a course taken in summer school that was missed

2. Compulsory course type change, ie, switching from college to university or vice versa

3. Course requirement for post-secondary education

4. Failure of a prerequisite course/no prerequisite

5. Missing compulsory course

6. Change for a pathway (change from university to an apprenticeship pathway or subject focus)

7. Balanced timetable, ie, a heavy course/workload in one semester, IF POSSIBLE

8. Needs a sixth Grade 12 “U” or “M” course

Note: 

• Guidance will process ONE course change form per semester.

• There are NO elective course changes for Grade 9s and 10s.

• Grade 11 and 12 students may take ONE eLearn course per semester
