In anticipation of completing this year’s O.S.S.L.T., we highly recommend that you spend sufficient time reviewing and practicing some writing fundamentals. Not only will your written responses need to be syntactically and mechanically sound, you may be asked about writing conventions as you respond to the reading selections of the test. To this end, please make use of the Language Power Now textbook given to you by your homeroom and English teachers. While the entire book is very useful, the pages listed below cover some of the writing concepts most often called for in the completion of the reading and writing components of the O.S.S.L.T. An answer key is provided for you to reference you response. Please keep in mind that some answers may vary slightly so don't hesitate to connect with one of your teachers if you have any questions.
