Here is an assignment that Lisa Colburn and I co-created at St. Elizabeth CHS for her Senior level English class. This can easily be modified for a Junior or Intermediate class; what would change would be the level of analysis.
What was most amazing about watching students work is that no one had time to pull out their phones or do other homework: the students were on-task for two consecutive 76 minute periods. They were proud of their creations and there was no worry of plagiarism.
