Asynchronous eLearning
The new Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) requires completing 2 Asynchronous eLearning courses. Asynchronous eLearning refers to those credit courses that are delivered entirely online and do not require students to be physically present in a classroom, except when this may be required for exams and final evaluations.
Students can choose to “opt out” of the eLearning component of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, with parental consent.
Opting Out Process:
1. Parents/guardians please print, read, sign, and attach "eLearning Opt Out Form" to indicate that your child would like to opt out of eLearning.
2. Upload the printed signed document to the Google Form (ycdsb.link/elearnoptout) and submit online.
