Assessment Criteria Breakdown (2027 Updates)

• A: Focus and Method (6 marks): Focuses on the research question, methodology, and overall structure.

• B: Knowledge and Understanding (6 marks): Assesses the subject-specific content knowledge, appropriate terminology, and conceptual understanding.

• C: Analysis and Line of Argument (6 marks): Evaluates the quality of research analysis, evidence, and argument coherence.

• D: Discussion and Evaluation (8 marks): Examines the ability to discuss findings, evaluate the methodology, and support conclusions.

• E: Reflection (4 marks): Evaluates the student's reflection on their research process, documented via the RPF. Now based on one reflective statement written on the Reflection and Progress Form (RPF) after the viva voce, with a focus on the growth of the learner and an emphasis on skills development and transfer
