Please prepare to present 6-8 pieces in a variety of media plus your sketchbook(s) and process work. Below is a recommended list of work to include:
Media Options: Your portfolio can include works in pencil crayon, watercolor, oil, acrylic, charcoal, or pencil.
Self-Portrait or Original Character: Create a self-portrait or an original character in any medium or style.
Drawings or Paintings from Life: Include pieces created from real-life observation, rather than copied from photographs.
Digital Work (optional): If available, include samples of digital artwork created using apps like Photoshop, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, Ibis Paint, Photopea, Illustrator, etc.
Digital Photography (optional): Submit any digital photography work taken with mobile devices or cameras.
Short Videos / Stop Motion (optional): Include video samples, such as short films, animations or stop-motion pieces, created for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
Sketchbook: Bring a sketchbook with recent work to showcase your ongoing exploration and creative growth.
Process Work: For at least one piece in your portfolio, include all the process work behind it. We’re very interested in your unique perspective, creative journey, and the thoughts behind your work. Process work can include:
Thumbnails and sketches
Early ideas and brainstorming
Explorations and studies
Messy experiments
Mistakes or early drafts
All work must be original and created by you—not copied, generated by others, or AI-created. We’re excited to see your creativity and how you view the world!
