To understand how a line can be used to create a three-dimensional form
To create a sculpture that considers balance and repetition, variety and emphasis
To consider where artists find their inspiration
I think the variety in my sculpture is mostly in the section where I have 7 short-cut reeds that are glued on in a parallel pattern. I also showed emphasis in the section with the parallel reeds.
The biggest thing that stood out to me that I learned was about form, even if my sculpture was technically always 3D depending on how I configured the reeds it would or wouldn’t be considered to show form.
