I Spy

Purpose:

To photograph in the style of Walter Wick, inspired by his work in the “I Spy” children’s book series.
To photograph an arrangement of objects that express a similar theme.
To arrange objects into a complex composition that leads the eye and demonstrates an understanding of balance, lighting, and color.
To create a rhyme that connects to the hidden objects.

A Child's Closet

A hippo sits in a white ride,

While ace of spades rests beside,

Three tickets wait for special days,

An ambulance through traffic plays.

Washed up on the seashore

Beneath the waves where starfish gleam white,
A sand dollar waits in morning light.
Under driftwood curved like captain's hook,
A spiral shell hides in a sandy nook.
