I found some light rocks and put them on a dark rock as a background. It came out less intense because it is a neutral color subject on a neutral color background.

I got some green sea glass and put it on a neutral background and the secondary color green popped out. It emphasizes the green because of the neutral background.

I saw some yellow and black sea weed, and the yellow and black contrasted which made the yellow pop out against the black. By using the complementary colors it forces the colors to pop more
