JPEG
“Joint photographic experts group” default camera image type. Smaller than other photos but loses quality
HEIF
High efficiency image format. HEIF image files are smaller than JPEGs yet similar or even increased quality
TIFF
Tagged image file format, usually uncompressed, extremely high quality
RAW
Files store all the info originally taken by the camera, high in storage, very high quality
PNG
Compressed in a lossless format, takes less file space,
GIF
Perfect for internet use, lossless compression files, image = small but good quality
PSD
Used by Adobe Photoshop to save data, allows you to store edits using individual layers rather than the original image itself
