Push and Pull Sculpture

Project Goals:

• Learn about sculptors who work to define space

• Work with clay to create a non-representational sculptural form that utilizes positive and negative space to make it interesting from all sides.

Artists and Art Culture Studied: 

• Barbara Hepworth, Ruth Asawa, Henry Moore, Jean Arp, Mark di Suvero

Reflection

It is very hard to get smooth. Be careful with fingernails and be patient. 

A lot of pieces are more circular but mine is longer. Something that makes my piece more interesting is the shapes.Oblong silhouette instead of circle 

My piece relates to Henry Moore’s because it's more long than balled up.
