“Reflecting on my goals for the semester” - I learned a lot in this class, especially with the Biweekly assignments where I had to take many different types of photos. Reflecting back on my goals I think I definitely would be able to take a much better photo of nature now compared to before taking this class. for example, I took a good photo while skiing and it looked good because I had a strong diagonal that made the photo look much better. If I had taken that photo before taking this class, I wouldn't have known how to use a diagonal line. Also, I was glad that we got to use DSLRs, I found it very fun but it was still sort of difficult to use them.
Goals For the Semester:
This semester a few of my goals are improving my photography skills of natural beauty such as sunsets, mountains, and water. Along with that, I would also like to learn how to use a zoom lens and take action shots of living things.
I think I could see myself taking another advanced photo class and developing my skills even more. Even if I dont take another photo class just having lots of photography skills I feel can be very helpful in my future allowing me to capture special moments with a good-looking photograph.
This is a very broad goal but I think just taking more pictures is a goal that I have. There are so many beautiful places in Maine and sometimes I just take it for granted. Almost every time I go outside there is something that is picture-worthy and my goal is to start noticing these things and taking pictures of them whenever I get the chance.
Outside of school, I think the most important part is just taking photos, the more you practice the better you get so I think taking more photos would help me improve my photography skills. If I do this and take another advanced photo class, then maybe someday I could end up in a profession that involves photography.
