Identity Unleashed - 3/2/26
I liked this photo because of how every part of my identity is displayed out in the open for the viewer to see. All aspects of my identity are unique from each other and I think this photo represents that really well.
Identity Compacted - 3/2/26
Unlike the other photo where the objects are out in the open, this photo is my more condensed, neat and organized side. Everything is lined up squarely to represent how the all the parts of my identity fit together.
Written Reflection: I chose these photos specifically because the arrangement of the objects shows how each part of my identity can be spread out for everyone to see, and also how it can be compacted to fit together. I chose my Madshus hat to represent my love for skiing, hiking, and the outdoors in general. My sunglasses were a must because I use them every day in the summer and whenever I go Nordic skiing in the winter, and they represent my preparedness. The tennis ball represents a huge part of my life, not because I'm a tennis player, but because it's my dog's favorite toy! I added the yoyo because it represents a skill that I have mastered over a long period of time and is something I am proud of. The soccer ball is for my love of the game. I don't play soccer anymore, but I played it since preschool, and it made a big impact on me growing up. Lastly, I threw in my headphones because I love listening to music and they are in my pocket at all times of the day, every day a week. On the rare occasion I forget them at home, it is always a weird feeling to feel an empty pocket. Together, they show my outdoor side, my preparedness side, my dog, my perseverance side, my love of sports, and my music side.
