The most important concepts I learned this semester
For me, the most important concepts I've learned this semester would have to be perspective and drawing still lives, these skills are important to me because they are used together to create amazing drawings. Making still lives is important to my learning because by getting better at making still life drawings I can incorporate perspective into them to take it to a new level that I can be proud of. While getting better at making drawings with perspective allows me to make them feel more realistic and make the important details stand out more while having the less important ones fade into the background. Perspective drawing is a skill that I would like to expand upon and combine with a still life to make drawings with both aspects.
The assignment that I am the proudest of
The assignment that I am proudest of would have to be the endangered animal bowl we did, I am proud of it because I put in quite a bit of effort to study the Devil's Hole Pupfish and its habitat and even its diet. It took me a while to get all of the information and then make a clay bowl and paint my rendition of the fish onto the bowl using patterns and bright colors. This assignment is important to my learning because it taught me how to study in-depth about the target of my creation, and use what I find then express it through the details of the bowl.
