Hosting

Our Japanese Friends will visit from January 5-11. Ten Greely and Yarmouth 7th and 8th graders have the opportunity to host Japanese students during their visit. It is a wonderful experience sharing American culture with our friends from half way around the world. And, we get to learn about Japan! The time includes, school, field trips, group dinners (including lobster!) and more!

Sample Itinerary:

January 5: Guests arrive from Japan! Welcome dinner hosted at Greely Middle School

January 6: Day trip to Boston, MA

January 7: Free day with families

January 8: Welcome ceremonies at HMS and Greely

January 9: Field trip to Portland - meet the mayor, lunch at DiMillo's, shopping in the Old Port. Lobster Dinner at the Muddy Rudder

January 10: Japanese lessons at HMS and Greely. Sayonara Dinner at HMS

January 11: Goodbyes
