In my classroom, the goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere where students feel comfortable and safe. It is important for me that students feel confident enough to try new things, make mistakes and step out of their comfort zones. Students will have the freedom to express their creativity, imagination and ingenuity. To foster this, I work hard to build a sense of community among my students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork. Over the course of the school year, I look forward to seeing students develop from learners who rely on me to lead class discussions and instruction, to learners who pose their own questions, work collaboratively, and solve problems.
