We have a very busy and exciting Fall Season this year! Along with our usual 3-tournament CWPA Season, the team will be participating in an invigorating preseason clinic and traveling to Washington and Jefferson College and Villanova University for more great water polo at their respective invitationals. Additionally, we will be hosting our first ever high school interest weekend for potential future players. The overall schedule, along with Yale's games, are shown below.

Aug 25 - 27:  George Gross Preseason Clinic

• Upon returning to campus, the team will begin training under the guidance of legendary Canadian National Team player and coach, George Gross. The inaugural member of the Yale Water Polo Hall of Fame and former head coach of the University of Toronto Women's Water Polo team. 

• The clinic includes multiple practices each day to immediately get the team back in action.

September 6 - 8: W&J Invitational 

• After classes officially start, the team is off to Washington, PA for another great weekend of training and games hosted by the Men's Division III team at Washington and Jefferson College.

• Aided by alumni connections, the men are looking forward to continuing the tradition of hosting each others' program at the start of each year, and we are always excited for the early opportunities to get back in the pool and compete, especially against some Division III powerhouses.

  • 7:00pm: Yale and W&J Team Dinner

• Sunday 9/8:

September 21 - 22: CWPA Tournament #1 @ BU

• The official season starts with a bang as we travel to Boston to play the first official tournament of the season at Boston University

• Saturday 9/21:

  • 1:40pm: Yale vs Northeastern

  • 4:00pm: Yale vs Boston College

  • 6:20pm: Yale vs Dartmouth

• Sunday 9/22: 

  • 1:40pm: Yale vs Boston University

September 28 - 29: Villanova Invitational 

• To get some more practice playing as a team in between season tournaments, we are delighted to head back to Pennsylvania for Villanova's annual Charity Invitational

• Saturday 9/28:

  • 12:10pm: Yale vs UPenn

  • 6:00pm: Yale vs Villanova

• Sunday 9/29: 

  • 9:00am: Yale vs Carnegie Mellon

October 5 - 6: CWPA Tournament #2 @ Home

• Time to host! Yale will be hosting the second official tournament of the season, determining the final seeding heading into the Championship Tournament

• Saturday 10/5:

  • 1:40pm: Yale vs Boston University

  • 4:00pm: Yale vs Northeastern

• Sunday 10/6: 

  • 10:40am: Yale vs Dartmouth

  • 1:00pm: Yale vs Boston College

October 10 - 13: High School Interest Weekend

• Never too early to think about the future! For the first time ever, with the great efforts of George Gross and Doug Hausladen, the Men's Water Polo team will be hosting a select group of high schoolers with stellar water polo experience that are interested in attending Yale in the coming years

• The weekend will include open practices, team dinners, and current players hosting the interested high schoolers throughout the weekend as we show them everything Yale and Yale Water Polo
