Unconference

what is an unconference?

An unconference is a highly informal conference that is organized, structured and led by the people attending it. Instead of passive listening or lecturing, all attendees are encouraged to become participants and collaborate, with facilitators providing moderation and structure. The Digital IAML unconference will provide a space for attendees to share digital projects, tools, and programs; present works in progress or ideas; and also ask for specific help with something they are working on. The emphasis of the unconference will be to learn from each other and to gain mutual understanding of a variety digital related issues within the music library sector.

Attendees are encouraged to sign up to present a lightning talk or lead a conversation via the following spreadsheet. However, leading a discussion or giving a talk is not a prerequisite for participation. Additional questions, topics or ideas will arise during the sessions themselves. So if you want to be involved, just come along and join the discussion!
