Amelia Baity is an alumni of Yadkin County Schools, having attended West Yadkin Elementary School before graduating from Starmount High School in 2009. She then went to Catawba College where she graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. She previously taught middle school chorus in Craven County and Wilkes County, before becoming an elementary music teacher in Yadkin County Schools in 2017.
