We will begin using Navigate360 as our visitor management system for the 25-26 school year. All visitors, including parents, must show a Photo ID when checking students out early or visiting the campus.
Parent Photo IDs will only be required once. The information will be stored in the system for future use.

Courtney Elementary uses the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) to address issues that occur both inside our school building and for events in the community that could impact the safety and operation of the school.
Teachers and students will learn how to respond to five actions and their directives. Our local law enforcement and emergency services are aware that we use the SRP, and we want our parents to be mindful of it, too!
Students will practice these drills—specifically the Secure and Lockdown drills—at least twice a year or once a semester. We will conduct monthly fire drills as required by law.
The drills are not intended to scare students, and our goal is not to traumatize, but to make their response automatic when seconds count. Students and teachers will be aware that we are having emergency drills in advance, so appropriate discussions and training can take place. We will also make parents aware, after the drill is complete, through ClassDojo.

If an event occurs that requires us to evacuate our campus, we will use the Standard Reunification Method. This is a set of guidelines and procedures that will help us reunite you with your child at a predetermined location as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We hope never to need to conduct an evacuation and reunification, but being familiar with the process will hopefully reduce some of the anxiety that such an event will cause.
