I have observed with the implementation that is really important and motivating for the students the fact of learning in cooperative work groups. I would like to highlight the importance of giving the students a language support to express themselves, it makes them feel more confident and willing to do more activities in that language. In the Project, which we have not been able to finish, the students have made some decisions, including how they work and what they create.
In relation to my experience at GEP 2 I have learned that with a good selection of teaching materials and tools encourage more active participation in the student learning process. Providing different types of input improve children’s learning and make them think and construct meanings.

This has been our second year in GEP. It has been a different one. We have prepared with excitement a lot of materials and activities to carry out in year 6. Our PBL (project based learning) about music styles promotes cooperative learning and encourages to put in practice quite a lot of the 21st century skills such as creativity, collaboration, technology or information. Unfortunately we could only do two of the sessions at school. The students seemed so motivated that I'm sure that next year, our future year six students will enjoy it a lot.

Last year was the first time that I found myself teaching using english language. This second year of GEP have been useful to learn about Project Based Learning (PBL) and lots of resources and possible activities to do with our students. All the materials and activities that we have prepared for this PBL about Music Styles are well-thought to make them collaborate in teams, search for good information, work using technology and perform in front of an audience. I think is important to show them outstanding materials if we want them to cooperate and implicate in the project. If we want excellent outputs, we have to provide excellent inputs.
The fact we could only implement two of the sessions did not change the way we think about this PBL. Students started showing motivation and we are completely sure that our future year six students will enjoy the (whole) project.
