Now it is time to group work: You will have 6 class sessions* to finish this project:


Phase 1 Group Discussion

Put the following problems in order of importance

Which aspect/s are you going to work on???

Keep in mind that you MUST find possible solutions to these problems:

Air pollution and climate change

Deforestation & Soil degradation

Pollution in the seas

Species extinction (for example bees...)

Over population


Phase 2 Setting Group Roles:

  • 1st Try to find a great slogan and a name for your group. Take a selfie of the group members and send everything to the teacher.
  • 2n Decide what kind of support are you going to produce for this campaign : are you going to work on a poster or an infographic to be shown at school or in a town hall / a TV add / an instagram video or photo composition / a speech or interview for a radio program... / a video campaign to be seen on TV or the Internet....

Set the roles for each member of the group:

  • The Manager and moderator: Moderates the team discussion, keeps the group on task, and distributes the work. He/she makes sure that every member understands the concepts and the groups conclusions.
  • The Recorder and coordinator: Takes notes summarizing team discussions and, especially, the team's decisions. He or she is also in charge that everything is ready for next work session.
  • The Spokesperson: It is the group's voice, he /she presents de groups ideas. He/she is the liaison between their group and the teacher. He/she can also assume the role of any other missing member.
  • The Technician and innovator: Encourages imagination, contributes with new alternatives, solves technical problems and gets any other material needed.



Phase 3 PRO-duction


SESSION 1

  • Brainstorming ideas on this topic
  • Try to begin with it.
  • At this stage DON'T WORRY about the tool you are going to use, first are the ideas, next the content and finally the tool to use in the visual presentation.
  • Working on content

SESSION 2

  • Working on content / the advertising campaign.

SESSION 3

  • Working on content
  • Content revision (not to have any mistake) -- You can share it with the teacher via Google DRIVE
  • Adding final ideas

SESSION 4

  • Preparing / sketching the presentation
  • the group comes to an agreement on the best tool to use (discussion)

SESSION 5

  • Preparing the visual presentation
  • Prepare the oral presentation (remember that all the group member MUST talk in it)
