Reflection after implementation

After implementing our project we have observed that is really important and motivating for the students the fact of using ICT in the Science class, when technology was integrated into lessons, students were more interested in the project.

Technology provides different opportunities to make learning more fun and enjoyable, it keeps the students engaged in what they do. If students are interested in the things they are studying they will have a better knowledge retention.

Moreover, technology has encouraged collaboration with students in the same classroom as they could do complementing activities between them. What is more, technology has encouraged a more active participation in the students learning process which could have been hard to achieve through a traditional lecture environment.

Finally we would like to highlight the importance of giving the students a proper language support for all the activities they are asked to do. During our project we have tried to give language support to our students in most of the activities, but not in all, and that is the main part that we would like to improve from now on.

Students need the language support to express themselves in an easier way, it makes them feel more confident. If ESL students have the feeling that they can express themselves in a good way they will be willing to do more activities in that language. Without language support ESL students have more chances of getting stuck and being afraid of talking.
