Kaagapay Teacher Support started as a page in a social media platform. It was founded from the deep desire to provide assistance and help the teachers as we all transition to Distance Learning.

The group’s beginning can be traced back at the start of the pandemic in the Philippines alongside the announcement of the shift to Distance Learning. It was initially to provide a space for teachers to support each other and share experiences and practices. But as we progressed into the year and with distance learning preparations in full swing, the group realizes that a gap is present between that teachers’ needs and resources. From then on the group has shifted in connecting the teachers to resources. Since then the group has provided webinars for free to all teachers and training programs to schools through its cohort training program. Since then the group has grown to be a community of at least 64,000 teachers, parents and students.
