Revision Timetable

The following is a suggested schedule for your child's maths revision, according to their group.

They might start, or complete, some of this in session each week. A set of quick questions will be completed in crew at least once a week.

Whilst the practice papers will not be fully marked in class, students will have access to the mark schemes and should be seeking out support during the three revision drop-ins for any questions/topics they are struggling with.

After the mocks the schedule has been left blank to accommodate for gap analysis and post-mock intervention on specific questions.

Each week these resources will be printed out and left somewhere in school for students to collect them (we might have papers available ahead of schedule, and these can be printed on request).

The best way to learn maths is to practice maths!

C25 Revision

There is no set amount of time that your son or daughter should be revising because every child learns and retains information at different rates. Research shows that revision is better little and often so remember to encourage a focus on the quality instead the quantity of revision.

This example timetable models the following principles:
1. Mix up high and low energy tasks and leave space in the week for time off!
2. Spaced revision is most effective
3. Revision should be interleaved

4. Some tasks need to be part of a daily routine.
5. Make use of the support available in school
