It will be suspended above the stairway near the science labs, on a level with the first floor, allowing the audience to view it from above as well as from below.
Our audience will be the students, staff and visitors to XP East.
The rationale for the product is:
- using art to share the beauty of nebulae with our audience (LT1)
- using knowledge and understanding of geometry to build a geodesic dome (MLT2 and MLT5)
- repurposing cardboard which would otherwise have been thrown away (LT2)
- replicating the shape of living accommodation designed for Mars missions
- creating a scaffold to provide our audience with a snapshot of our work
