Eco-Schools empowers pupils, raises environmental awareness, improves the school environment and also creates financial savings for schools. It engages the wider local community and links to the curriculum.

The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning. We can work up to Green Flag level by achieving Bronze and Silver awards which are self-accredited stepping stones along the way.
There is no time limit for how quickly we need to achieve our Green Flag after registration, however, on average it takes around one academic year. Schools are then asked to renew their Green Flag award every two years.

We are 16 students who have been nominated from across Year 7 and Year 8 (E25 and E24) to represent our peers on an Eco-Committee. We have completed an Environmental Review of our school and are using this to write an Action Plan, which will form the basis of our application for a Bronze Award.\
Mrs Townson is our named Eco-Coordinator.
