With the students' initiative, the first BVoc department festival was organized, titled ‘TecNomad’. The idea was initially presented by Shreeyash Yende and a team of students from the second year BVoc class. It was held on 5 - 6 December, 2017. It was a blend of tourism and software events. On the first day, a series of lectures was conducted by scholars in the Travel and Software industry.

2. MICE tourism and its future prospects- Pritesh Prabhu (BCD Travels and specialists in MICE)
3. Tourism then and now – Navaz Karanjia (Faculty at Kesari, Garware, Thomas Cook and St. Xavier’s College)
4. Ethical Hacking- Lionel Faleiro (Cybersecurity Analyst at Network Intelligence Pvt. Ltd. and also a faculty at KC College)
Exhibition: displaying the various project models made by the students explaining the importance of career role and job opportunities in the field of Travel & Tourism and Software related industries.
Events:
Cultural (Fashion) Show - Theme based Costume show – each team was allotted a continent and they were supposed to dress up displaying the cultural element of that particular continent. It was an inter-collegiate competition. It was judged based on the concept note, set up, music, costume and team co-ordination pertaining to the theme. HR college team bagged the first prize and St. Xavier’s team were runners up. Judges include Jaspreet Kaur (Model and Mrs. India 2017), Cean Alphonso (Makeup Artist) and Balnit Kaur (Travel & Tourism Faculty with Kesari, Garware, Thomas Cook and St. Xavier’s college).
Continental Drift - A Travel Quiz competition. It was an inter-collegiate competition. Six teams participated with a total of three levels to win. St. Xavier’s College team bagged the first prize.
Game of Codes - Showcasing talent of software (Adobe) and languages to resolve coding challenges.
FIFA - Football game battle using technology like PS4.
For students of TYBVoc Tourism a workshop on planning and organising heritage walks was conducted between 6 to 10 January which included offsite training. An on-site training and presentation by students was held on 19 January 2020. Three groups conducted heritage walks on topics such as public spaces and statues, Street Storytellers and a food history walk in Mumbai precinct area. This was conducted in collaboration with The InHeritage Project by Ms. Alisha Sadikot and Ms. Tamara Rasquinha.
A two day visit to the new Khandala Villa was organized for and by the students of TY BVoc tourism between 14 to 16 February 2019. The activities included planning itinerary and organising the seminar, conducting heritage trail to Bedsa caves under the guidance of Dr. Siddhi Bhathgara. It was supplemented by a small series of day long session on handling events, dealing with customers and even fun group activities such as tug of war under the guidance of Mr. Benoj Mathews. Other faculty members involved were Ms. Zeena Cooper, Ms. Shruti Thakkar and Mr. Chirag Thakkar. Around 30 students participated in the seminar.
Students of BVoc tourism set up a stall exhibiting educational scope and career opportunities in the field of Travel and Tourism as a part Synergy Art Expo held on 30 November 2019.
It was titled Pack & Go – Around the world in 46 Tables on 8 February 2020. All 46 students of Tourism exhibited individual countries from various continents such as Australia, Europe, India and so on. Students presented various itineraries and travel options under the guidance of Ms. Uma Ranade and it was examined by Mr. Pritesh Prabhu.
A guest lecture was organised on Emotional Intelligence and its relevance to Tourism and Software Industry for the students of Third Year B.Voc Travel & Tourism and Software Development as part of Applied Psychology course on Thursday, 13 June 2019.
A Guest lecture was conducted on Entrepreneurship in Hospitality and Tourism with highlights on the Software industry by Ms. Jyoti Ghildiyal, Senior Country Manager, Swiss Education Group (SEG), Switzerland on 13 September 2019.
Discipline centric in the academic year 2019-20 was conducted in alignment with the Event Management course- Flash mob on the theme of Railway Safety and Sanitation at CSMT station and Street Play on the theme Alcoholism and Domestic Violence at Churchgate Station.
