In the First Year bachelors sociology class there are two divisions which engage a total of about 180-190 students. These divisions carry forward to the Second Year and each of the core disciplines (like Sociology and Anthropology) splits into two papers unlike one in the First Year.

Number of seats at SY/TY level: There is no fixed number assigned to the batch intake. Each year a varying number of students enter into the first year but their subject choices in the third year are granted on a merit-based procedure. Each batch size varies across years.
