Mrs. Shefka

Hello everyone,

My name is Traci Shefka.  I am a Xavier class of '89 alumni and have been with the system for many years.

I will be teaching Creative Writing for grade 8, Language Arts for grade 7 and levels 1A and 1B French for grades 7 and 8, respectively.  

I have two children, Rose and Isaac, and have been married for almost 27 years to my husband, Jim.  

Rose is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Neurobiology and Isaac is attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout, pursuing an engineering degree.  

We have a crazy dog named Peanut and we all love to spend time outside, especially fishing.  

I am looking forward to a better year for our family this year.  We lost my father in November and had a house fire the day after Christmas, which displaced us from our home until April.  Our garage and family room, which were ruined, are finally being rebuilt...the excavation started today (August 24)!  I thank the family and friends that helped us through.  

I pray for a year of renewal and growth, and peace, for all of us.
