Mr. Neuman

About Mr. Neuman

Art has been a passion of mine since an early age. My grandmother was an art teacher and my grandfather was a carpenter. I have a strong appreciation for the arts and earned my BFA Degree through the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. I began my professional journey as a Graphic Designer and supported brands including OshKosh B'Gosh, Carter's, ShopKo, Kleenex, Huggies, Kwik Trip and Disney. After several years of graphic design experience, I decided to pivot my career path and focus on teaching.

I am currently teaching art to elementary students at Xavier while earning my teaching license. Kid's are by far my favorite artists. There is something so raw and relatable to children's art. They haven't learned the rules of art yet and draw how they perceive the world. I never seek perfection in art and encourage creative minds to wander.

If I'm not teaching art, I can probably be found spending time with my family. My wife Vicki and I have two amazing kids, Kaydence (13) and Sam (9). We enjoy sports, movies and playing with our dog Mya.

If you would like to learn more about me or need to reach me, please email me at nneuman@xaviercatholicschools.org.

Thank-you for letting me share my passion of art with your kids.
