Mrs. Leicht

My name is Katie Leicht and I'm a 3rd grade teacher at Xavier's Elementary school, McDonald Street campus. I've been a part of the Xavier community for 12 years as a parent and as an employee. I was an Instructional Aide at Marquette Street campus for nearly a decade, and I recently decided, after several long-term substitute teaching opportunities, to make a change to permanently become a Classroom Teacher, and I couldn't be more excited! 

I am an alumni of UW-Madison (Go Badgers!), where I attended both undergraduate and graduate school. My family consists of my husband, Jon, my three kids, Lily, Anna, and Griffin, and my beloved dog, Augustus (aka "Augie"). I love to travel with family and friends, read, listen to music, and spend time up north on Post Lake. A fun fact about me is that I was born on Christmas morning! I also have a hobby of gathering rocks from beaches, tumbling/polishing them, and turning them into jewelry.
