About Mrs. McGinnis:
Hello! My name is Jennifer McGiinis and I am excited to be your child’s 2nd grade teacher this year. This 2025-2026 school year is special year for your child both academically and spiritually.
Professionally, I earned my undergraduate degree in elementary/middle school education from St. Norbert College and my master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I taught sixth grade in the Neenah Joint School District for ten years before electing to be a stay at home mom to our three children, Patrick, Maggie, and Preston for 18 years. Sentimentally, all three of our children attended Xavier Elementary at Marquette Street Campus (I sometimes still call it St. Pius😀) Patrick graduated in 2024 with a double major from the University of Minnesota and is an accountant in downtown Minnapolis. Maggie is a 2023 graduate of Xavier High School and is attending UNC Chapel Hill and Duke University for her third year studying abroad in London. Preston is excited to be starting his junior year at Kimberly High School and currently enjoys math, hockey, and tennis. He loves being part of Kimberly's DECA and Link Leadership teams.
In my free time, my family takes the helm! I enjoy playing pickleball with them, going on walks and runs, talking by the campfire, riding kayaks, sharing and reading all different types of literature- (notably this past summer I published my first children's book entitled Kisses to the Misses-) . I look forward to continuing to be part of the Xavier School System--the students make it fun, and my colleagues make it feel so welcoming.
