Profe. Nelson

¡Hola! My name is Bethany Nelson but my students call me Profe. ☺

I have been teaching high school Spanish since 1999 and have been a member of the Xavier staff since 2015. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish, Humanities & Secondary Education and Master's Degrees in Curriculum & Instruction as well as Counseling. I love to travel and have studied Spanish in Costa Rica & Spain mostly, but have been fortunate enough to travel a few other places as well. My goal for all of my students, is to open their eyes to the world around them. I hope they gain an appreciation for cultures very different from ours, as well as a desire to go out and create experiences for themselves in the world! We can learn so much about ourselves by learning from the world around us.

I live in Shiocton with my husband, 2 daughters, dog, rabbit, dwarf hamster and chickens. We enjoy car shows and camping as a family as well as other outdoor activities. I also enjoy running and traveling whenever and wherever I can.
