Suicide is a serious public health issue that impacts people of all ages and backgrounds. In Wyoming, suicide is the eighth leading cause of death for all ages, and the second leading cause of death for ages 15 to 44 years (2018-2023).
In Wyoming, on average one person dies by suicide every two days.

Where is the data coming from?
All data included in this dashboard represent injuries among Wyoming residents and Wyoming hospitals only. Hospitalizations among Wyoming residents that occur out of state and hospitalizations in Wyoming facilities from non-residents are not included in this dataset.

Non-fatal self-harm data were obtained from Wyoming Hospital Discharge Data
