School Facilities Commission - April 1-2 - Converse CSD#1
State Building Commission - April 8 - Cheyenne, Capitol Auditorium
We are excited to welcome students from across Wyoming into a space where learning about democracy feels less like a textbook and more like an experiment, testing ideas, solving problems, and exploring how Wyoming’s government works firsthand.
Designed for students in grades 5-8, the Civics Lab focuses on the first five articles of the Wyoming Constitution and transforms the three branches of government into an immersive, hands-on experiment and adventure. The vibrant, cartoon-inspired space blends imaginative play with interactive learning in a whimsical setting.
To efficiently manage and maintain the many school and state facilities, the SCD has worked to build a robust database that can quickly provide clear, accurate data for our staff, commission members, and elected officials to make informed decisions. In recognition of this dedication to transparency and sustainability the SCD and our database, Operate (AiM), has been awarded the 2025 Facility Force Achievement Award.
In case you missed it, the State Construction Department hosted a webinar introducing School Districts to the new tools available on Operate (formally AiM), and how to browse their 2023 condition assessment data and information. This one-hour webinar includes a brief presentation and demonstration, and some questions from District personel.
