Dr. Lisa Strohman, is a psychologist, attorney, author, and child advocate. She has worked as a visiting scholar with the FBI profiling unit, as a legislative intern in Congress, and also founded the Digital Citizen Academy Foundation to help proactively prevent and educate students, educators and parents on issues related to technology. She is regularly featured in the media as a technology wellness and behavioral expert.
Dr. Nicholas has his doctorate in Counseling and Educational Psychology. He has been practicing as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) since 2007 and has immersed himself in the phenomena of trauma and the potential growth from adverse events. His trainings are aimed at normalizing the cultures of stress and trauma exposure.
His copyrighted model, Living Ideation, is a positive contrast to the common suicide prevention models; Living Ideation aims to discover existing strengths within a person and then amplify those abilities for resilience. Balance and strength outcompete depression, burnout, and suicidal thoughts.
In addition to having a comprehensive private practice in Reno, NV, he is the in-house mental health clinician for the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, Athletic Department and Coaches consultant for the University of Nevada, and consultant to several first responder agencies within northern Nevada. Recently, he has worked with BLM and Forest Service wildland firefighters during their pre and post season training and he also facilitates Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) services nationwide.
Throughout his studies and teachings, Dr. Nicholas has worked with individuals, couples, families, and organizations impacted by the co-occurrences of substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses. In addition to doctoral publications analyzing how groups create greater relational connections after suicide loss, he was a contributing investigator for the DSM-5. Dr. Nicholas has written two books: Living Ideation and Warrior Servants. Dr. Nicholas has resided in northern Nevada for over fifty years and is a loving husband, father, and friend.

Ryan Snow, M.Ed. – Police Officer and Trainer
Ryan Snow is a dedicated Police Officer at a major University Police Department. He focuses on educating communities about DUI and drug issues. As a certified Drug Recognition Expert Instructor (DRE), he draws from extensive training to shed light on the impact of drugs. With firsthand experience, Ryan informs and empowers others to prevent tragedies in their areas. A featured speaker at state and national conferences, he also develops and delivers impactful training for schools and campuses. Ryan's influence extends to coalitions and associations, earning endorsements from organizations like the DEA and The National Center for Campus Public Safety. Before law enforcement, he earned a bachelor’s in education and a Masters in Educational Administration. He continues his education journey as a doctoral student at the University of Illinois in the Education Policy and Organizational Leadership concentration, emphasizing his dedication to education and community well-being.

Dr. Chris Wilson is a retired licensed psychologist from Portland, Oregon. For eighteen years he worked with victims and perpetrators of crime, including for seven years with the Oregon Department of Corrections, and performed psychological evaluations. He currently trains nationally and internationally on a variety of issues including the neurobiology of trauma, vicarious trauma, and being trauma informed, and testifies as an expert in both civil and criminal trials.
Shelly joins Chris on Friday afternoon for our segment on resiliency. As a professional in the field of Applied Improvisation, Shelley embodies the philosophy that creativity is the key to navigating uncertainty and building resilience. With over 20 years of experience as a skilled facilitator, instructional designer, and live event specialist, Shelley possesses a wealth of experience in designing and delivering engaging learning experiences. She brings a curious, creative, and innovative approach to her personal and professional endeavors.
Casey Patterson is the HIDTA Drug Intelligence Officer for Wyoming and has served 26 years in law enforcement.
Prior to working for the Cheyenne Police Department for 16 years, Casey served as a deputy sheriff with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office, a corrections officer with Davidson County Sheriff's Office, and with the Tennessee Department of Correction- both in Nashville, Tennessee.
During his time with Cheyenne PD, Casey served as a school resource officer, crisis negotiator, SWAT operator, field training officer, firearms instructor, member of the regional gang unit, and as a detective. While assigned to the detective bureau, Casey worked several cases with federal partners that resulted in convictions for a variety of criminal offenses, to include interstate transportation of stolen property, wire fraud and firearms offenses. Casey decided to continue to serve in law enforcement as a seasonal State Park Ranger for Wyoming State Parks in addition to his duties as the Drug Intelligence Officer. Casey also serves on the board of directors for Recover Wyoming and recently completed training for EMT basic.
With over 20 years of dedicated experience in the nonprofit sector, Rhea Parsons has made a profound impact in the fields of child abuse and neglect, substance abuse prevention, and mental health. Rhea has championed innovative programs and strategies that support vulnerable populations and foster positive change.
Throughout her career, Rhea has worked tirelessly to develop and implement initiatives that address the complex challenges faced by individuals and families in need. Her experience and collaboration with other community leaders has created effective prevention programs and a deep commitment to mental health advocacy that drives forward meaningful, community-based solutions.
Passionate about fostering systemic change, Rhea continues to make a significant difference through her work, embodying a vision of a world where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor
Ashley Schluck is the Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor (TSRP) for the State of Wyoming and is employed by the Laramie City Attorney’s Office working under a highway safety grant. Ashley is a graduate of the University of Wyoming where she obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology and criminal justice in 2001, followed by her juris doctorate in 2004.
Prior to becoming the Wyoming TSRP in 2013, Ashley was a Senior Assistant and Prosecuting City Attorney with the City of Laramie. During that time, she prosecuted countless DWUIs, both alcohol and drug, and assisted in the creation and enactment of tougher DWUI laws for the City of Laramie.
As a TSRP, Ashley serves as a specialized attorney whose primary focus is equipping prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and other traffic safety professionals with the resources necessary to combat impaired driving. She provides education, training, and technical assistance within the State of Wyoming and nationwide. Additionally, she serves as both a consultant and liaison to these traffic safety groups.
The ultimate goal of the Wyoming TSRP program is to improve traffic safety, thereby reducing the incidence of impaired driving and related highway injuries and fatalities.

Dana Chandler is passionate about helping kids! Her focus has been to spread the message of keeping children safe in their digital world. She has partnered with Dr. Lisa Strohman and the Digital Citizen Academy in order to spread their message. Chandler graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Education/Special Education and then a MA in Administration, Curriculum, and Instruction from Gonzaga University. She has been a respected principal and teacher for more than 27 years in both the United States and for the Dept. of Defense overseas.
Dana Chandler grew up in the back country of northern Idaho by parents who were globally minded and taught her to look beyond her own experiences and see the perspective of others from different backgrounds. She is proud of being from a small town, but also has loved her residencies in big cities as well, such as Seattle and Tokyo. Chandler currently lives in Washington State and has authored several books, including, "Lil," and "Hello! I Have Autism." She is a mother of four daughters and "Nana" to three grandchildren.

Kayla Stevens, MSW, LCSW is a social worker on the suicide prevention team at the Sheridan VA Health Care System. Kayla has served on the suicide prevention team for over 5 years, serves on the Health Care System’s Ethics Committee, and is the Education Director for Social Work Service. She is the chair of the Wyoming Alliance for Suicide Prevention (WASP), a board member on the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Wyoming Chapter, a priority area lead for Governor’s Challenge work (suicide prevention for Service Members, Veterans and their families), a member of the Utah/Wyoming Maternal Mortality Review Committee, a founding board member of the Sheridan Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, certified through the American Association of Suicidology as a Psychological Autopsy Investigator, a VA certified Advanced Safety Planning Intervention Provider, a certified Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) trainer, and a certified Connect Program trainer.
Co-Founder of Take Up Space Experiences and author of Relentless
Kadi Harnish is a mother, soon to be wife, Co-Founder of Take Up Space experiences, a published author, and a lover of all things sweet and all things sparkly. She is loud, bold, and lovingly refers to herself as “extra”.
Her first book “Relentless: I am living proof there is always a reason to keep fighting” was published in January 2024. Through the pages, she shares how she has taken the brokenness she experienced during her years of childhood sexual abuse that led to suicidal ideations and how she has turned it into unbelievable beauty. She has spoken across the country sharing her message of hope and healing and how you don’t need magic tools or a miracle to make it.
Whether you see her smiling and hugging someone with immense gratitude and love, or wearing a hot pink velvet tracksuit, dancing in the middle of the room like no-one’s watching, one thing is for sure…. You’ll definitely know it’s her.
