An Official Wyoming Government Website
GIS data is available for some 24k and 100k bedrock geologic maps. Published maps can be found via the Publication Search page. Additionally, the Interactive Geologic Map Index can be used to search for maps.
The digital data for each quadrangle is available as a .zip file containing:
Geodatabases or shapefiles of the map data.
FGDC_GSC style file for symbolizing bedrock maps created between 2013 and 2019 in the NCGMP09 Standard format, and after 2019 in the GeMS Standard format.
Note: The shapefile package does not contain annotation layers due to limitations of the software.
