Graduation Ceremony @ 7:00 p.m.
In order to participate in the commencement ceremony, graduating Seniors are required to attend MANDATORY Graduation practice on Friday, May 22.
On Friday, May 22 all graduates should arrive by 5:30 p.m. for a class portrait. Seniors are strongly encouraged to NOT bring unnecessary items on graduation day. You will be in multiple locations throughout the day and may lose track of where your items are in the excitement and emotion of the day.
Whitewater High School has a tradition of hosting a dignified commencement ceremony. Proper attire for graduates for the event includes dresses, skirts, dress pants, button-down collared shirts, and dress shoes. Graduation caps are to remain undecorated for the ceremony. Students should only wear cords awarded by WHS for academic achievement and recognition.
All students will be provided satin stoles to be worn during the ceremony and will exchange them following the ceremony for their diplomas.
We expect the commencement ceremony to last approximately ninety minutes.
Everyone is invited to attend; tickets are not required as there will be enough seating. For our guests, a ramp and lower-level seating will be available for those unable to navigate bleachers. If needed, ASL and Spanish interpreters will be present to ensure all are able to enjoy the ceremony.
Letter regarding Grading / GPA.
