Your job around the TC is to work on honing your tutoring skills through hands-on practice. You will work directly with students as drop-in subject tutors and use our coaching model to support student success. Role: Advanced Tutor (T2)
Congrats! Advanced Tutors are the engines of the TC. As an advanced tutor, you are already familiar with our coaching model and our daily operations. Your job is to model teamwork and other collaborative tutoring practices for both tutors and patrons. In addition, as an Advanced Tutor, you get to start taking on study skills appointments (yay!). Please ask questions and do not hesitate to reach out to your Lead Tutors or the TC Heads!

Role: Lead Tutor (T3)
You're a Lead Tutor now—how exciting! Along with the TC Heads, you are the operational leadership of the TC. Your job is to perform all the drop-in and study table support as T2s, as well as to listen to the needs of tutors and patrons alike. You will need to communicate those needs to the leadership team. Your new role also requires you to disseminate information to staff, facilitating change, and strengthening clarity.

We are the Heads of the Tutoring Center. We are here for you so you can be here for Western Students. The Assistant Head, Anika, is your direct supervisor and in general manages the day to day operations of the Tutoring Center. The Head, Brian, provides oversight of the health and development of the Tutoring Center.
