The sound of gunfire still lingers in the wind as Keith walks past a nearby destroyed library.
“I don’t know how they could have done this attack so fast.”
“I understand that your shocked Srg. Williams, but we must go!”
For the next few days, the crew of survivors boat to the HQ, hitting bumpy waves whilst in a dark wet storm. They get closer to the HQ to tell them about the attack.
“After the battle on the shoreline of a small town, the citizens got all shook up and started spreading rumors about the war. One local said that this is going to be the next world war, and another said that this is a start of a liberation,” said a local news team.
“We need to get a team of three fighters in the air to scout for any ships offshore that might threaten San Juan,” an officer said.

Before the battle, the troops are halfway to San Juan.
“Were on a course to San Juan next week and does anybody know why?” said the Captain.
“Are we going on another scav looking for some random people who probably don't exist?” Said one of the Sargents.
“Srg. stop messing around, you and I know they're still out there”
“Okay can some share some info about whoever you two are talking about?” said one of the recruits.
“Hey, can someone tell me what's goin’ on?”
“We're just hitting a few bad waves it’s nothing to get worked up about,” The driver said. The ship rocked and swayed, as the crews anxiety continued to build.
After a few days at sea, the squad made it to land and called in for a ride to HQ.
“HQ! the town to the east has been attacked!” said one of the sargents.
“What? Are you talking about San Juan?” said one of the officers in command.
“Yes, they came from the hills,”
“We thought they were just civilians, but then they started shooting.”
“Before we could even sound any alarms they were in the base, they were everywhere.”
“All you could hear was the sound of gunfire and then a grenade went off”
“Then when the wall went down me and a few others knew we had to get out of there!”
“After, we took an emergency hatch in one of the barracks we got in one of the rafts and got out of there,” The Srg replied.

After that, they got a few squads and went back to the battle scene to report anything they could find. “Srg!” one of the recruits yelled, “there’s some survivors of the attack holding out in the building near the hole in the wall”
“You came back!” one of the survivors of the attack yelled.
“Of course we did, do you think we’ll leave people behind?”
“We bought a few extra dinghies in case we found survivors, head over near the water and you’ll see them”
“We're heading back over that hill and striking back at midnight!”
After a few hours of searching for the enemy base we finally found it and started firing shots at the armed people around it. Gunshots rang over the hills, all you could smell was gunpowder and hot metal. Some people started running for the hills. The snipers started picking them off as if they were a group of hunters taking shots at deer.
“They want our position on this side of the island so they can launch missiles at HQ!”
In the distance we saw a group of people getting ready to shoot. Back in their makeshift base, they had made in the past days, we were gone. One soldier shot a missile into the main gate and sent shrapnel flying through the air, after that all was quiet until 7 people ran out with a massive riot shield, they were like wall of metal from a school bus and other scraps. At that moment a sound of a helicopter hummed through the valley as 5 attack helicopters littered the base with a rock, as if a was kid poking holes in paper with a tack then hole-punching it. The base was blown to pieces by the man-sized rockets that hit the center of the base. People cheer!
