Jeswin Antony is a 12 year old writer and likes to read and listen to music.
Since I was a child, the Samis Lake was always my place of joy. The water tasted fresh, and I would beg my parents to take me there every Saturday during summer break, and we would always have fun. The clear water and bright sun was an amazing feeling. But now, I don’t know what to say. Now that same water has changed. So let’s go back to when Vic and I found out.
“Hey Logan, you going to the Samis this weekend?” questioned my friend Vic.
“Yeah probably,” I replied.
“Sick bro, see you there!” he said.
You don't know much about me, but I need to get to the point, so not gonna linger on this for too long. First, I’m Logan Cotano, 13 years old. Second, I’m..uh 5’6. Third, I’ve got brown hair. Vicky boy here (my friend) is 5’5 and blonde, also 13.
Now, that weekend. Vic and I found out something that had could affect all of the people in the town of Jadenville. We were on the other side of the lake trying to find a lost beach ball (Thanks to you Vick, and your crap aim) and then we noticed the trail of green, sticky goo. The smell reminded me of the Lysol disinfectant that the teachers used on our desks, but 10x worse. Vic held his nose and asked me “Where is this gooey whatever it is coming from?”
I told him “I’ve got no clue, but we should follow the trail.”
The farther we went to find the green goo, the worse it smelled. The nearby trees and bushes were a light green and the bark of the trees felt sticky and some looked deformed. “Damn, how did this happen so fast?” I asked Vic.
He responded, “No frickin clue, but we’ve got to keep going.”
I mumbled, “Yeah I guess.”
Vic exclaimed, “Wait for me Logan, I wanna take a video of this so that we can show this adventure to our friends!”
“Well, I guess we could,” I told Vic.
The trail then led to a cave that had little light. The light looked like children playing hide-and-seek through the small jagged cracks on the top. We had to climb over many rocks and boulders in the way, until we found a pile of rocks blocking our way.
“Well, how the hell are we going to get over this enormous heap of rock,”
Vic asked.
“Bro duh, we have to climb over it,” I replied.
“Dude, it looks super sketch, I would be careful...” Vic shuddered.
“Well, we still have to see where this slimy stuff is coming from” I said to Vic.
I gulped as I stared up at the massive mountain of Lysol shit, I knew that I must persevere on with caution. As Vic and I slowly climbed over the treacherous Lysol mountain, one of my footholds slipped.
“Aaaa frick someone HELP,” I yelled to Vic
“Try to hang on to the slime, I will try to get you”
As Vic vigorously climbed over the rocks like a monkey on steroids, I hanged on with all of my might.
“HURRY UP!” I demanded
He finally caught up to my foot and gave it a boost so I could regain my grip. At the top, there was a cement ramp down to a door I couldn't see, we had to get there.
“Bruh, if this is a pool of green Lysol, I’m gonna vomit,” Vic sighed
“No Vic, if you look down, then you can see some kind of ramp,” I told him.
“So how are we gonna cross this?” He asked.
“Get ready to swim, oh fuck what's that thing coming towards” I yelled at him.
Out of nowhere, a metal claw arm slugged us from above with a hard “thunk” and winded us.
I think that it grabbed us and took us into a dark hallway and threw us into a metal chair. Then, the chair locked our arms and legs. When I finally regained consciousness, I felt a hot light shining on my face, and my mouth duct taped. I also saw Vic conked, and he had a gash on his forehead. There was blood dripping down his face and I saw a small puddle forming. I tried yelling to get somebody attention, but I couldn't. I then suddenly heard a clack, clack, clack from the distance.
“Who is is!” I tried to muffle through the duct tape.
“Child, calm yourself,” said a lady.
This unknown lady was very slim and tall. She was dressed in this smooth purple velvety silk dress, and smelled like Pine-Sol. (Why does everything smell like what the janitors in my school use?) She walks over, rips the duct tape off our faces and with a smirk and tells us
“Well, well, well, what scum do we have here?”
As I start to get my mind back to the present, Vic regained consciousness and started to spew a flurry of insults at this lady.
“Who and what the fuck do you want with us? Your perfume smells like shit, and why the hell are my arms and legs attached this chair? Logan, where are we bro,” Vic demanded.
“Dude slow down,” I told him.
Then I asked what her name was.
She said “I am Madam Frénésie, but call me Enfer,” she said mischievously.
Vic chimed in and said “Yeah, well I guess she is a frenzied piece of hell.”
She exclaimed, “How did you know that?”
Vic said “Well my grandparents are French, and I live with them for the most part, so I picked it up there”
So then for a good five minutes, I sat there trying to twiddle my thumbs, while Vic and Ms. Frenwhat were having an energetic conversation in French. But then his face slowly went from happy to horrendous.
Vic said as loud as he could “Tu vas faire ça?”
“Wait, what?” I responded to him
“This psycho hell lady is gonna take over Samis! She’s put robot chips that are going to control everyone in the slime that we saw going into the river” Vic yelled
“Well, it was nice talking in French, but I’m gonna have to put a forgetting spell on you. Sorry Vicky and unknown boy, but bub-bye” she said in a sassy voice.
She yelled “Oublier,” and with a flick of her wrist the chair disappeared and Vic and I fell for what felt like forever.
After the extremely long free fall, I could finally see a light. But then it led back to the river, and I felt super lopsided.
“Hey, Vic, where the fuck are we?”
“I think that we are close to the shore and shit, I let the GoPro record.”
“What did it record?”
“Hmm, let me check...What?”
“Vic, what happened?”
“It has us going into a cave, and there’s a stream of slime going out of it and into the river..”
“Wait, Vic, I kinda remember you telling me something about some frenzy lady, and like she was French!”
“Oh yeah, Logan! But wait.”
His face turned from questioning to horrendous.
“Dude, that lady was putting robot chips to control everyone” Vic trembled.
“Well, we need to tell someone!” I yelled to Vic.
“But Logan, who gonna believe us? We are just some 13-year-old kids showing adults some footage of a random lady talking in French!”
“Still Vic, we should go to the library and see if has been any other incidents of nuclear stuff in the records”

AT THE ENFER LAIR
“Hmm, how did the worthless scum remember my plan! I should have kept it silent! Well, I should track them down, and see if they trying to stop me.” She twiddled around and hacked a camera in town that shows them going to the library. She zoomed in and saw that they were going to the top floor to check the public records. “No! They must not find out the past!” Enfer yelled. She then took a handful of black soot on her desk and stood on top of a book and said some phrases, which then triggered the soot to activate and transported her to the library.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
BACK AT THE LIBRARY
“So where are the public records?” I ask Vic.
“I’m pretty sure that it's going to be on the top floor. Shall we use the elevator?” Vic said to me. “Well, I’m not squeezing in with all the old ladies to go to the 5th floor,” I told Vic.
“Well, five flights of stairs, here we come!” Vic exclaimed.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
AT THE TOP
“Logan, I’m frickin done, and now where the hell is the record?” Vic said as he gasped for air.
“Bro Vic, you’ve gotta get in shape dude,” I told Vic.
“Shut up and find the damn book,” Vic demanded me.
“Chill bro, we’ll get it,” I told him.
As Vic and I scoured through the endless number of books, I sensed a cold draft wherever I turned.
“Hey Vic, do you feel cold?” I asked Vic.
“Yeah, I do actually,” He told me.
“Look! There’s the record!” I yelled to Vic.
As I look through the record, I find that there had been an incident and started to rip the paper out of the books, I saw that the lady that captured me and Vic in the cave appeared out of nowhere.
“You are not taking that book today!” Enfer yelled.
“When the fuck did you get here!” Vic yelled.
“GO GET HER,” I yelled.
As Vic and I ran after Madam something, I saw a small piece of paper slip out of the book, and I run after it to catch it.
“Logan, what are you doing?!” Vic shouted to me.
“Vic, wait,” I told him quietly.
“What Bro?” He responded.
“Dude, that dumb witch lady just dropped the page that we needed,” I whispered to Vic.
As we read the piece of paper that fell out, It said that Monsieur Frénésie in 1990 had ideas to put controlling chip in the Samis power plant waste, which then would go in the river. He wanted to be in power and planned to do it by making the people of Samis his minions and to create more money by making the people slaves of his company. He was eventually killed when one of his plans were found in the trash and the police ordered a raid on his house. His daughter was eventually put in foster care, but she always had her father’s book of ideas and plans, but no one knew.
“So Enfer is just continuing her father’s legacy of taking over Samis, but we were the 13-year-old nobody's who stopped her from becoming the controlling superpower of the world. Vic said with dignity.
But then I heard the piercing ring of the dreaded alarm clock.
“LOGAN, WAKE UP FOR SCHOOL!” My mom yelled.
