We talked about 3 potential SDGs we wanted to do. We came down to Zero Hunger, Life on land, and Life in water. We came up with Different ideas on how we could base our project on one of them. We then got our Advisor and met up with them to talk about the different ideas. Afterward we chose one SDG to focus our project on. We chose SDG 15-Life on Land. Now we are going to be coming with ideas moving forward. For our Project we decided to go into the creek and the woods,Pick up trash,plant tree saplings. We will aslo research on which plants help the ecosystem and which don't and plant the right ones that can help the ecosystem flourish. We will also be helping the animals by creating small but durable structures for them to hide or live in, for example, Bird houses or take a log and create a little space in it for other animals to find place to rest or live. We can take a old tire and make a suitable habitat.
So far we have reached out to a Environmental awareness program manager for permission to build on certain property. We scheduled a meeting with him and talked out details. We talked to him about our plans and he agreed to it. He would later reach out to us about further plans and agreed to pay for the supplies as long as we do quality work of the birdhouses. We finalzed a date to go to a wood store on friday 02/21/25.

We contacted the Program manager after getting his contact information and we started planning out our project and sending him updates on our project

We settled on this date to get wood for our project, we went ahead got the wood and waited at the store until Wright Gwyn (the program manager) could come in and pay for the items

On this day we started building and cutting out the wood to get the measurement for our houses

We got stuck on building the birdhouse since we needed sandpaper and glue

We got the sandpaper and glue we needed, once again Wright Gwyn paid for it
The items we got were Gorilla Glue, and sandpaper sponges.

Went to home depot to get the last of our supplies
Hinges to get the top of the birdhouse accessible to clean at the end of the season (breeding season)
