In benchmark A, I did research on the 17 sustainable development goals and talked about why they mattered to me. Sustainable Development Goals are very important. Throughout benchmark B, we did a lot of things. We identified Glocal issues, met with our advisors, and we proposed our issue and got it signed off. For my project I am thinking about doing something along the lines of presenting something to make more people aware of the ongoing crisis in Palestine. I have chosen to focus on SDG 16, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. In benchamrk C, I made the decision to switch the SDG I chose and I ended up choosing SDG 11 which is making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. I have met with Ms. D and she has given me information about how to improve my website and gave me ideas I could do for my project. I met with Ms. Wiliford, my advisor, and she gave me similar advice as well. After a week of finalizing what I would be doing for my project I have chosen to switch my SDG to SDG 3 which is good health and well being and I have decided to hold a yoga class for some students at the high school.
For the first part of my capstone project, I gave Ms. Keller's 2nd bell gym class a presentation about empowering wellness and nurturing a healthier you which both relate back to SDG 3.
For the second part of my capstone project, I played a 5 minute long yoga video that all of the students participated in.
In benchmark D, we focused on our take action plans to really start finalizing our project. I went to go talk to Ms. Keller if I could use the gym during one of her bells and that's when she suggested that instead of me getting random students to present to, I could just present to her 2nd bell class and I though that was good idea and that's how my project was finalized. In benchmark E was really just implementing our project and updating our google site. Benchmark F is mostly a reflection on the whole project like how it went, what went wrong, what went well.
