We researched all the SDGs and wrote about what they mean to us.
Find a issue to focus on and do our project on. - SDG 4 - Quality Education
We have made a plan, about reading books to children at the library and doing a book drive.
Get the materials like a box, flyers, and books to read.
We have finalized a date, to read to the children at the Forest Park Library on February 26th-March 11th.
Presenting on March 13th!
These benchmarks focused on researching and picking our SDG's. We picked our SDG's in Benchmark A, and began researching in Benchmark B. Benchmark C was focused on updating our website and meeting with our advisor (Mr.Corrick) and Mr.Lock so they could see where we were in our project.
Benchmark D was focused on actually taking action, making a logistics plan and finalizing dates.
Benchmarks E and G focused on continuing taking action, and perfecting our google website!
After many talks with our capstone advisor Mr. Corrick and Mr. Lock they began to like the idea of the book and material donation drive. They were very unsure about our first plan for the long-term research study. Overall it's a nice idea but it's going to very hard to bring awareness to the situation and see any change. The book and school materials drive will for sure help other students in need. It brings more awareness to quality education and ways we can help improve it within our city of Cincinnati. We learned trial and error is okay, because you can learn ways to improve your thinking skills and problem solving. We feel more confident of the plan to donate because we know for sure it will be effective to schools in need.
