Scholarship in Memory of Xavier

Xavier was in the 6th grade at Westfield Intermediate School.  He loved gaming and going on vacations, but above all, he loved being with his family and friends.  His favorite colors were red and blue, and he looked forward to the rain (which gave him an excuse to stay inside to game).  Although his time on this earth was short, he lived a full and blessed life that people can only strive for.  His messy hair, contagious laugh, sweet personality, and his “I’m Good” will be remembered always.

Xavier was learning to play the trumpet while at Westfield Intermediate School. A scholarship has been created in his name to provide Westfield students with the same opportunity. This scholarship will be available to Westfield students needing assistance with the purchase of a band instrument so they can join the WIS band. If you are interested in making a donation to this scholarship, please go to the Westfield Washington Education Foundation website by clicking here.

The sight of a cardinal holds special meaning, sometimes evoking emotional or spiritual feelings. It is said that the vibrant red bird is an uplifting, happy sign that those we have lost will live forever, keeping their memory alive in our hearts. The WIS choir recorded the song Cardinal in Xavier's honor. To hear the choir's recording, please click here.
